(2)Brewers vs The Family(8)

M-A Daaha, The Family getting the attention they deserve

It looks as though the Family have finally found what they’ve been looking for. And yes, its only two straight games, but the Family have made believers out of a lot of cynics after a convincing 8-2 win over the Brewers. They really found a way to build themselves and find their identity. M-A Daaha keeps proving that he is a gamer and tonight wasn’t any different as the hard nosed forward produced three goals to get the ball rolling. To his help, L.Camistrano contributed in a big way setting up three markers while adding one late in the game. The Brewers perhaps didn’t expect the start they got. They fell behind early and never really recovered as the game progressed. There only bright moments came when their captain A.Lanni sparked both goals for his club.

(4)Pylons vs National(5) O.T

M.Pinheiro seizes the moment netting OT winner

They weren’t many but enough to grab a pair of points over the Pylons. National managed to prevail rotating one change to their bench in a game that could have easily gone either way. Granted, the Pylons weren’t many either but did have a couple of more bodies for some extra breathing room. The end result came due to an unfortunate set of circumstances. On what seemed like an innocent play turned into a grave situation for the Pylons. A.Fonrose took an unfortunate four minute minor with only two minutes left in the game. Clearly, that spelled disaster for the Pylons who knew the odds were stacked against them for how well National moves the ball. That being said, they managed to kill off three out of the four minutes before M.Pinheiro tapped in the winner.  Despite their short bench, M.Pinheiro and S.Laplante put together an incredible performance as both players did all of the scoring while combining for eight points.

(4)Chiefs vs Bramabulls(9)

Sluggish Chiefs pay the price vs Bramabulls

The Chiefs knew going in that it was going to be a tough one versus the Bramabulls. They never grabbed the lead and despite hanging in there for a while, they just couldn’t keep up long enough. The game took its lone path when P.Rivera and J.Lipariti scored only minutes apart. Those two tallies made the score 5-2 in favour of the Bramabulls heading into the final period. It wasn’t an unreasonable margin to overcome but that didn’t matter for a team that appeared to be sluggish for most of the night. S.Koulieris was productive in the loss bagging three out of the four goals from the Chiefs. The Bramabulls had many players chip away with points including P.Bertone, D.Verta, J.Lipartiti and D.Charbonneau that were all able to net a pair.

(4)Templars vs HBHA Seniors(8)

HBHA score early and often in rout of Templars

The Templars pretty much didn’t show up for the first period. For how bad it went, they barely gave themselves  a chance to fight back and make a game of it. It didn’t help either when they took a double minor that resulted in two power play goals by the HBHA Seniors. It was apparent by then that this game didn’t live up to the hype of a close encounter. The HBHA Seniors appeared poised from the get go and dictated much of the pace building a comfortable 7-1 lead after two periods. M.Pololos was feeling it on this night igniting three goals while S.Govas racked up plenty of points scoring once while setting up five teammates.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Steve Laplante of National. The crafty forward kept being a thorn for the Pylons all game long. With his team trailing twice in the third period, Lapalnte responded twice to even the score while setting up the overtime winning goal.
