(7)Left Wings vs Bramabulls(6) O.T

Bramabulls give up four straight goals in overtime loss to Left Wings

With their most recent loss on Wednesday night, the Bramabulls continue to look poor when playing without the ball. For as frustrating as this season has been for the Bramabulls , this latest defeat seemed to really sting because of how close they were to getting something out of it. Their continuous inability to prevent goals has been a thorn throughout their entire season. The Left Wings exploited the Bramabulls weakness as of the five minute mark of the third period where the downfall began for the Bramabulls. The comeback was led by a collective effort involving different players that included a late equaliser from A.Perrault, and the overtime winner by J.Argyropoulos. A.Perrault had a big part to do with the victory collecting five out of a possible seven points for the Left Wings.

(5)Screaming Eagles vs Fitforce Phoenix(6)

Fitforce Phoenix hang on to nail biter

A third period surge from the Screaming Eagles led by E.Skafidas just fell short as the Fitforce Phoenix barely hung on for the victory. Skafidas scored twice in the third period to complete his hat trick but time just wasn’t enough despite carrying all that momentum. The importance of a better start definitely helped secure the win for the Fitforce Phoenix. B.Cabral and Ali Khanafer shared two goals each and everything appeared fine for two straight periods. Luckily enough, there four goal margin played out to be just enough in the end.

(8)Buckshots vs Fatal Demons(7)

Fatal Demons wake up late in effort to comeback versus Buckshots

Against one of the top teams of their division, the Fatal Demons entered the third period with a four goal deficit. And despite mounting a massive comeback, a five goal third period surge still wasn’t enough. The Buckshots must of thought this had this game in the bag. Anytime you lead by four after a pair of dominant periods, the mind set will only suggest for an easy win, especially with the pride of the Buckshots players. However, they did get a rude awakening despite taking then win. Sometimes teams that come off  a positive result don’t feel good about their game. This surely was the case for the Buckshots, who would have been devastated  if things turned out differently. K.Kavan led the way up front posting a hat trick while N.Kokovidis was involved in the action as well bagging two goals.

(6)Bulldogs vs Horsemen(7)

Horsemen rally with four goal third period to beat Bulldogs

Down by a pair after two periods, the Horsemen huddled in between periods and responded with a great comeback effort in the third. Clearly the Horsemen didn’t want to be put in that situation, but the guys stuck together, dug deep and just kept chipping away. E.Caccavale had already scored in the opening frame before being the first to score in the third period comeback .Tonight’s winner came in an unusual manner with B.Rubino feeding an empty cage for his second of the contest. For two straight periods, the Bulldogs couldn’t have asked for a better display. M-A Beaumelle was feeling it on this night riding a hat trick and S.Lague was very productive collecting three points for the Bulldogs.

(3)Fat Roy vs Armadillos(4)

Fat Roy fall apart in third period

During an eye opening sequence that lasted two periods, K.Kakivelis was by far the story of the match as the skilled forward riffled all three goals for Fat Roy. But, in the end, his outstanding performance was overshadowed because the Armadillos scored three unanswered goals in the third period and stunned Fat Roy 4-3. C.Zafiropoulos stressed that a desperation level needs to be high for three straight periods and not two. Granted, the Armadillos isn’t an easy team to keep a strangle hold for most of the game. Eventually, they would put it together and steal the contest from their opponent. P.Legatos, P.Lapointe and G.Vouloumanos each scored in the final frame to overcome the deficit.

In a night where all five games were high scoring, decided by only one goal, and most of the action involving third period comebacks, the SalumiVino player of the night goes to Alexandre Perrault of the Left Wings. Throughout the entire game versus the Bramabulls, A.Perrault was a force accumulating five points that involved key plays to help mount a comeback victory for his team.
