Team Black get off to strong start to roll past Team Brown

Team Black were able to get off to a better start  on Sunday night scoring six in a row before finally conceding one by the 39 minute mark. Adding Perry Stroubakis will immediately make any team that much better. The skilled forward scored two goals in the first twenty minutes to help kick start Team Black to a strong start. His speed with the ball control dictated much of the play making everyone else around him a better player. While he isn’t the only one causing fits for Team Browns defense, T.Acheson and C.Stamadianos can be a handful as well. T.Acheson knows exactly where to be on the court at all times which explained why he collected a hat trick while C.Stamadianos has the ability to create his own space bagging a hat trick as well along with three helpers. It almost looked like A.Zardarian was headed for a shutout until S.Sicuso spoiled it with his first of two on the night.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Perry Stroubakis of Team Black.  His speed and ability to control the play was too much to handle for Team Brown.

Team White rout defenceless Team Pink

Team White caught Team Pink hibernating on Sunday night. It showed that they were a couple of steps slower against a side that had more jump to their game. By the time this contest hit its mid way point, Team Pink were ready to pack it in knowing that it was completely out of reach. Apart-from N.Macri leading the charge on a hat trick, the offense was widely spread. S.Fraga did had a solid game producing five points-from the back end. Giving up two tallies in the Draft League isn’t any easy task, but G.Villenueve made it happen stopping plenty of shots his way. What’s surprising about this result is that Team Pink have the tools to keeping the game a lot more  respectable. Sometimes, things just don’t go your way which appeared to be the case for Team Pink on this particular night.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Simon Fraga of Team White. Getting offense-from your defenseman will only bring you a long way. Team White benefited many times thanks to S.Fraga seeing the play by providing that right pass to generate high end chances.

Team Orange use their extra gear in run and gun action with Team Blue

On the large part, it looked like two muscle cars competing for who would reach the finish line first. Both sides kept revving their engine trading chances that led to a combination of ten goals in the first 26 minutes of the encounter. The game was tied 5-5, and neither side must have had a clue where this was going, that was until Team Orange shifted gears. M.Pietrantonio was the one controlling the steering wheel for Team Orange by stringing together two quick tallies for his hat trick putting his club up 8-6.  Even if the score was extremely close, that sequence just fuelled Team Orange to keep the pedal to the medal where they added three late insurance markers to reach the finish line first. When a team scores that many goals, nearly everyone contributes in the scoring department. And while E.Allen may have cashed in only once, the veteran d-man was an offensive juggernaut collecting a total of seven points.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Errol Allen of Team Orange. Nearly identical to what S.Fraga provided for Team White, E.Allen did the same for Team Orange, generating a ton of offense coming-from the back end.

Slick set up man M.Destounis leads way for Team Green

On a regular basis, M.Destounis will continue his trend, and that’s to find the open player, who has only to try and bury a very good scoring chance. Its actually simple playing with M.Destounis. If you know how to find the open space, expect a pass every time. Tonight, three different players benefited with D.Fortier scoring twice thanks to feeds by M.Destounis. But the crafty play maker can do more that just find his line mates, he can score if he decides to. Team Green went on to double up Team Yellow in a fairly close battle. They managed to keep a two goal cushion for a decent stretch  which forced Team Yellow to find solutions. Since Team Green tightened the bolts, it made it difficult for Team Yellow to respond enough times. C.Douils was able to score twice out of his clubs three goals which just wasn’t nearly enough. After facing over 30 shots, M.Rodriguez capped off a solid night allowing only three markers.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Miguel Rodriguez of Team Green. In order to sneak out these types of wins, your goaltender needs to be a factor in which M.Rodriguez was stifling his opponent to only three goals.

Team Red had no solutions to slow down M.Lang despite battling back

Team Purple kept making strong pushes to battle back in the game, but in the end, it just wasn’t enough. J.Prevost’s second tally by the 39 minute mark to tie the encounter for Team Red gave his side a great chance to turn the tides only to see M.Lang crush any signs of life by responding with his fourth of the night. At least Team Red gave themselves a solid chance by never giving up. If not for an unfortunate play that caused a turn over, this contest could have easily gone the other way. Instead, Team Purple stayed composed and managed the game as it progressed. M.Porato chipped in with a pair, B.Verducci got better as the game went on making it very difficult for Team Red to get much behind the goaltender. That being said, there is no doubt M.Lang had the biggest influence for this result notching four goals along with an assist.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Mike Lang of Team Purple. Just when Team Red thought they had a chance, M.Lang was there to remind everyone that he had it under control rattling off two big late tallies as part of a four goal night.
