The tightly contested match provided both benches and fans with another dose of intense action. It didn’t take long for the Armadillos to strike first courtesy of P.Lapointe to send a strong message that they meant business. The lead only lasted so long however when J-R Turgeon levelled the playing field by the six minute mark of the first period. From-there, it was evident that neither team was willing to concede an inch. Despite narrowing the gap, time wasn’t a luxury the Generals had, and were now stuck facing a hungry opponent in a shorter Game 3 final.
