In an exhilarating season opener, the Predators faced off against the Kraken in showdown that had everyone on their edge of theirs seats. The game was a rollercoaster of momentum swings, ultimately culminating in a thrilling 7-6 victory for the Predators in overtime. It was a game that the Kraken felt they should have had. After all, they led 6-3 at one point and mort importantly 6-4 with just over four minutes remaining. With the clock winding down, the Predators summoned a surge of energy, scoring two late goals by J.Bergola’s and D.Carlucci’s second of the night. Now that the game was all tied up, the Predators felt they had the momentum going while the Kraken were just hoping to catch a lucky break and salvage their night. Unfortunately, when it rains it pours, and the Predators had the final say thanks to M.Zuccaro riffling a shot that fooled A.Zardarian. The two late goals and the dramatic overtime winner by M.Zuccaro not only marked an incredible comeback, but also sets the tone for an exciting season ahead.

Panthers storm out of gate, Islanders fall in deep early hole unable to recover

The game between the Islanders and the Panthers got off to an astonishing start as the Panthers dominated the first fifteen minutes, establishing a commanding 6-0 lead. C.Cusson provided the initial onslaught rattling off two straight goals while different players took turns finding the back of the net. Falling that deep into a hole so early on only deflates you. That being said, the Islanders kept their heads up, and although didn’t make any ground, the Panthers scored only twice in the last 33 minutes of the game. There was a rare moment that the Islanders did celebrate when P.Labateya broke B.Verducci’s shutout. Apart-from that, its not uncommon for teams to face challenges early in the season, and the Islanders will likely use this experience as a learning opportunity to make necessary adjustments and come back stronger in future games. As for the Panthers, just an overall good start to the regular season with every area of there game working.
The Allo Mon Coco Ste Dorothee player of the game goes to Ben Verducci of the Panthers. Although not overly busy, B.Verducci makes it very hard to get beaten. Tonight, the net minder will look back and regret not making that one single save that would have earned him a shutout.
Bruins celebrate thrilling overtime win over the Flyers

From-the opening face off, the fans got their moneys worth on this one despite it being free of admission. The back and forth nature of the game suggested that neither team was willing to concede, creating an atmosphere of excitement and unpredictability. The scoreboard reflected the intensity of the match up, with the lead changing hands here and there. Each goal seemed to be answered with a swift response-from the opposing team, keeping the game tightly contested and the outcome uncertain. It looked at one point that the Bruins had it in regulation time when R.Santosuosso re directed a hard shot-from far by M.Porato that slipped behind the net. You have to assume that with a minute left this game , overtime would have been avoided. Instead, a blistering slap shot with only ten seconds left by A.Angelis forced the two sides to add some extra time in a sudden death frame. Once they got to the overtime period, the Bruins barely wasted time taking care of business. The play happened so fast that a quick shot by N.Macri put a staple to a wild and thrilling finish. That was the power forwards third goal of the game, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. While the Flyers didn’t quite get the result they had hoped for, M.Destounis was again the catalyst rattling off four goals and an assist.

Kings pull away late on 3 consecutive goals to defeat Red Wings

Neither side gave a real indication for where this contest was headed. After trading a pair of goals, the game remained tied for a long stretch until the Kings were determined to turn the tide. The Kings started to intensify their offensive pressure on the Red Wings defense. Finally, D.Lucchesi beat S.Fraga for a rare time providing the Kings a huge go ahead marker. The Red Wings, now trailing, desperately tried to mount a comeback, but the Kings were not done yet. Capitalising on their newfound confidence, the Kings netted two more goals in quick succession, securing their victory and leaving the Red Wings stunned. D.Lucchesi went on to add his second while M.Mascitto played a pivotal role in net keeping a clean sheet for nearly 30 straight minutes. The Kings celebrated their hard fought triumph, highlighting the importance of perseverance and teamwork in the face of a challenging opponent. The Red Wings, while disappointed with the result, acknowledged the thrilling nature of the game and looked ahead to future matchups with determination to bounce back.

Canadiens rout Blackhawks 11-3, M.Paciencia leads the charge with 5 goals

It didn’t take long for the scoreboard to quickly reflect the Canadiens scoring prowess on Sunday night. As the goals continued to pour in, M.Paciencia scoring efforts stood out as a remarkable individual achievement. The forward proved to be a handful bagging three straight markers fairly early on while adding two more to finish off with a whopping five goals. The Canadiens overall fire power had the Blackhawks defence and goaltender scrambling to find answers. While M.Paciencia had a decent outing, other players also contributed in the double digit goal tally. Goals were widely spread out with J.Musi and D.Masour netting a pair. After facing about 30 shots, C.Stamadianos pulled out a nice sweat to earn the win in net. The final score was a testament to the Canadiens dominance on the court. The team celebrated a resounding victory, with many contributing. On the other hand, the Blackhawks have some work to do, but have a pair of professors in their line up that can turn the tides around.

Wild strike late to edge out Sabres

In a closely contested matchup , the Wild jumped ahead late taking its first lead of the game thanks to A.Kalaydjian. The game unfolded with both teams battling fiercely, exchanging goals to keep the intensity going. R.Testa of the Sabres and S.Sauk of the Wild were the reasons why their side had a legit shot at winning this game. The two goaltenders were stellar frustrating the opposition on some nice looking saves. That being said, something was eventually going to shift the tides, and that’s when A.Kalaydjian broke the barrier. It took barely seconds later for the Wild to secure a hard fought win on an insurance marker by S.Kalaydjian. With the net minders exceptional contributions, and the teams cohesive play, the Wild worked every inch of the court in order to defeat a resilient opponent. Goals came-from different players, but S.Kalaydjian did have more have an impact collecting three points.
