Hurricanes secure high thrilling affair over the Oilers on the back of F.Bchara’s seven goal output
(12)Hurricanes vs Oilers(11)
The Hurricanes came out with a blazing start rattling off three consecutive goals in the first ten minutes alone. Rather than falling in a massive hole, the Oilers got their act together and finally showed up to compete with a ready opponent. It seemed as though every time the Hurricanes would pull ahead, the Oilers had an answer. The only problem was that they could never find themselves grabbing a lead. Maybe a structured game plan on how to contain F.Bchara could have shifted the tides. Instead, the power forward did pretty much whatever he wanted. The Hurricanes forward remained a scoring machine throughout the entire game collecting a ridiculous seven goals. It was one of those games that the net minders were glad to be wearing their masks as nothing was going right. At one point late in the game, the Hurricanes looked to have comfortably secured the win leading 12-9. But since this contest lived up to its identity, it came to no surprise that the Oilers bounced back on two late goals to pull within one. Two minutes remaining felt like the equivalent of a lifetime if your trying to close the game out. To the Hurricanes credit however, they managed to close it out despite the enormous pressure put forth by the Oilers.

Blues strong start goes a long way as they down the Rangers
(5)Rangers vs Blues(7)
It didn’t take long for the Blues to storm onto the court with an aggressive and fast paced offense. Only five minutes and change had gone by, and the Blues were in the drivers seat carrying a 3-1 lead. That was just the beginning as they continued to push the pace resulting in three more tallies before the Rangers had an answer with J.Tzanetakos completing a hat trick. As much as the Rangers were inspired to battle back, they just couldn’t make enough ground with the Blues protecting a comfortable lead. J.DiMauro played a pivotal role for his teams success by breaking up plays while contributing offensively bagging two goals and a pair of assists. The Blues felt comfortable about their chances for how sound defensively they were on the large part while relying in S.Sauk to come through and deny the opposition. Despite the Rangers resilient efforts, the Blues early lead proved to go a long way.
