Fatal Demons promising start fizzles in lopsided loss to Generals
(9)Generals vs Fatal Demons(3)
The Fatal Demons came out of the gate strong catching the Generals off guard on two first period goals. Their aggressive play put the Generals on the defensive unable to contain a more committed side. After a sour start to their night, the Generals regrouped in between periods and looked like a completely different team for the entire second frame. With precision passing and relentless pressure, the tables turned in their favour. K.Duplin ignited the offense that trickled down his entire line up as everyone pulled their weight. The Generals surged with six second period goals that left the Fatal Demons struggling to keep up. Much of the third period mirrored the second as the Generals went about their business adding three more markers to put an end to the Fatal Demons misery. Playing one really good period wont cut it against the Generals as the Fatal Demons found out the hard way.
Rated R holds on in nail biter vs Krazy Train
(7)Rated R vs Krazy Train(5)
The game unfolded with intensity-from the two sides. Scoring the games first goal proved to be pivotal as Rated R used it to their advantage. Despite the Krazy Train narrowing the gap, they were never able to pull ahead with Rated R regaining the slight edge. G.Pisanelli caused havoc throughout the entire second period where he put three behind the Krazy Trains net minder. Still, the Krazy Train never called it quits in their quest to overcome the deficit. F.Dominianni was a catalyst behind the comeback attempt as the smart D-man notched two big goals. Also in that mix saw the newly added S.Abbandonato riffle a pair. The third period saw the intensity reach new heights as both teams kept following their assignments with the Krazy Train digging for the next goal while Rated R made it a point to eliminate as much time and space as possible. To their credit, they stifled a lethal offense thanks to a solid defensive game and solid goaltending by F.Baratta.
N.Chiminian and J.Mandracchia lead Armadillos to rout Brew Crew
(2)Brew Crew vs Armadillos(9)
Despite a promising star by the Brew Crew, who managed to keep the game close after the first period, they seemed to vanish-from the court as the game progressed. The Armadillos relentless pressure and clinical finishing left the Brew Crew struggling to keep up, ultimately resulting in a lopsided score line. Led by the stellar performance of N.Chiminian, who netted an impressive four goals, and J.Mandracchia, who secured a hat trick, the Armadillos showcased their offense prowess-from start to finish. It didn’t help that the Brew Crew gave up a first period shorthanded goal. In order to have a chance at defeating the Armadillos, everything needs to go right-from limiting mistakes, scoring on your chances while playing a sound defensive game. Although the Brew Crew showed signs of keeping up with a formidable opponent, they couldn’t apply it throughout three straight periods.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to G.Pisanelli of Rated R. In a display of sheer brilliance, G.Pisanelli lit up the scoreboard with an incredible second period hat trick as part of an impressive five point performance.
