Right-from the opening draw, it was clear that this game was going to be a back-and-forth battle, as the Ducks and the Penguins traded scoring chances and goals with lightning speed. The pace was frenetic, with end-to-end action keeping both goaltenders on their toes. However, as the game progressed, the Ducks began to find their rhythm and started to tighten up defensively. With a newfound defensive awareness, they were able to stifle the Penguins' potent offense and limit their scoring opportunities. This adjustment proved crucial as the game wore on, allowing the Ducks to gain the upper hand. In the second portion of the game, the Ducks' defensive adjustments paid dividends, as they were able to shut down the Penguins' offense and capitalize on their own scoring opportunities. Their disciplined defensive play combined with their offensive firepower proved to be too much for the Penguins to handle. Despite the Canucks initially taking control and playing ahead for a significant portion of the game, the Sharks refused to back down. They were able to claw their way back-from a deficit and play ahead on some brilliant plays. All the Sharks  needed was to find a way to kill off the final minute. Instead, Z.Goodwin rose to the occasion, delivering a clutch goal to tie the game at 8-8 and force overtime. But Goodwin wasn't finished yet. In the overtime period, he once again found himself in the spotlight, tapping in a shot that came-from a perfect fed by F.Houle, securing the thrilling victory for the Canucks and sending the crowd into a frenzy. Despite being on the losing end, S. St-Martin of the Sharks delivered a masterful performance, showcasing her scoring prowess with a hat trick and two assists. Her efforts kept the Sharks in contention throughout the game and nearly carried them to victory. In the end, it was the Canucks who emerged triumphant, thanks to Goodwin's late-game heroics and overtime winner.
