Unknown make Snipers work for every inch
In what was a low scoring affair, teams traded first period goals before deciding matters in the shootout. The Unknown looked to their two veteran players to highlight their skill in the breakaways. J.Constantin tallied along with A.Zarzour’s difference maker for the extra point. The Snipers did respond with a better start in the second game and led 2-0 at one point when Ali Khanafer scored early in the second period. That lead may have appeared sufficient considering the Unknown were very short staffed but that didn’t seem to be the case. In the very short span of just over a minute, F.Benhamadi and A.Zarzour each scored to draw even with the Snipers. It may have looked-from that point on that the Unknown would manage their time properly due to their short bench. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t the case as A.Sayed wasted barely any time to put the Snipers back in front that led to a slight 3-2 victory.

Club Ecole Orient use their depth vs depleted SBS Trashers
The Club Ecole Orient managed to grab leads in both their games which stifled the SBS Trashers to bounce back and make a night of it. They play well on the defensive side of the ball and were able to stick with it throughout the four entire periods. Only one shot ended up beating J.Zafar, and that came-from G.Bampos when the second contest was out of reach. The SBS Trashers entered the night without some key players and knew that if they could have led at one point, R.Pampena would have given them a chance to steal some points. Overall, it was just a better performance for F.Nasser and the rest of the Club Ecole Orient. B.Cabral had the lone goal in the first contest while J.Zafar pushed aside 17 shots for the shutout. In the second match, A.Fahra led the charge offensively posting two out of his clubs four goals.

Armos pull away in second match after drawing even with Horsemen
There was little separating the Armos and the Horsemen on Wednesday night, at least in the first of the two encounters. Each side traded goals in the first two periods while doing the same in the shootout leaving neither team to really celebrate much. However, the second encounter had a different effect. The Horsemen couldn’t match up well enough in the opening frame. They gave up four goals and needed to rely on their man advantage to keep the game close enough heading into the final frame. Knowing the importance of the next tally, the Horsemen just didn’t have it as A.Zakarian came through instead netting his second for the Armos. M.Yeramian also scored twice in the win while P.Sidhom and his captain V.Pandza posted two each for the Horsemen.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to J.Zafar of the Club Ecole Orient. After receiving a total of 39 shots in two games, J.Zafar was beaten only once enabling his club to capture a pair of wins over the SBS Trashers.
