The Brew Crew found themselves on the back foot right-from the start, struggling to contain the relentless attack of the Generals. At no point were the Brew able to stem the tide. They did manage to get goals in every period, but it came no where close to matching the offensive fire power put forth by the Generals. With so many weapons at their disposal, J.Brunet loves to rip the ball, and why not when it travels close to the speed of light. The general in the back end riffled a total of three goals completing his hat trick by the early stages of the second period. K.Duplin chipped in with a pair, and M.Pinheiro decided to take the role of a play maker by setting up three goals. The Brew Crew haven’t been their usual self so far this season. Rather than being focused early on to remain competitive, the horrible start just made matters worst for a side that’s perhaps lacking some confidence.

Krazy Trains explosive third period secures thrilling win over Fatal Demons

Trailing 3-1 heading into the third period, the Krazy Train refused to back down, and instead unleashed an explosive offensive onslaught that left the opposition searching for answers. Despite the deficit, the Krazy Train felt good about their chances after applying some serious pressure only to be snake bitten by R.Ranieri. As good as the net minder stood tall, there is only so much one player can do. Eventually, goals started to go in with Krazy Train kicking their game play into overdrive, relentlessly attacking the Fatal Demons defence with nice passes and blistering shots. With each goal the momentum swung firmly in favour of the Krazy Train while the Fatal Demons struggled to contain their relentless assault. It wasn’t like it took a particular player to turn the tide. The comeback effort involved everyone pulling their weight with a determination that was fuelled by sheer confidence. J.Russo did net a pair as did D.D’Andrea to secure the win in an empty cage. It may have come in a losing cause, but M.Destounis was a thorn all game for the Krazy Train’s defense as the forward participated in all four goals.

Rated R falters as Armadillos take command in third period

In a heart pounding match up filled with twits and turns, Rated R and the Armadillos clashed in a thrilling showdown that kept both teams guessing where the game was headed. Rated R didn’t let their slow start affect their confidence to battle back and eventually even the score 4-4. Nearly half of the second period saw both sides playing tentative as the game remained deadlocked. Then, once the third period started to unfold, the Armadillos seized control with a stunning display of skill and team work. D.Andrade came through to break the tie for his second, and P.Legatos scored his first of two shortly after to put the Armadillos in a commanding position. As the goals piled up, Rated struggled to mount a response, unable to contain the Armadillos relentless pressure. In order to defeat the Armadillos, it takes a full out effort-from the drop of the ball. Rated R followed the assignment on the large part, but just didn’t have enough steam in the final stretch to battle with a formidable opponent.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Jeremi Brunet of the Generals. From-the opening moments of the game, J.Brunet made his presence felt on both sides of the court, combining solid defensive play with dynamic offensive contributions, leading to an impressive early hat trick.
