Mtl Machine cruise for an easy win over the Bengals
(7)Mtl Machine vs Bengals(0)
It didn’t take long for the Mtl Machine to completely dominate the Bengals in the first period, raining goals on them to dash any hopes for a comeback. The Bengals remained clueless in the face of the Mtl Machines powerful attack surrendering six tallies in the first period alone. Goals came-from five different players with J.Morina and P.Heroux sharing two each. For a five minute stretch or so, J.Morina had his hand in four straight goals for the Mtl Machine setting up P.Heroux and S.Morello while rattling a pair himself. The Bengals knew after one period that they were done, but tried to remain competitive in hopes of avoiding an embarrassing loss. Unfortunately, it was just a bad night as P.Heroux was able to close it out with his second and end the game earlier than expected due to the seven goal mercy rule. On the few shots he faced, C.Fortin was able to record the shutout.
The SalumiVino player of the game goes to Johnny Morina of the Mtl Machine. A good chunk of the offense emerged from the quarterback defenseman. Four out of the seven tallies stemmed-from J.Morina, who scored twice while setting up a pair of teammates.
