(6)Sharks vs Ducks(5)
The Ducks faced off against the Sharks in a thrilling match up that saw plenty of twist and turns. Despite a slow start that found them trailing 3-0 early in the game, the Ducks mounted a valiant comeback effort, only to fall short as the Sharks emerged victorious. The Sharks grabbed control of the score board early netting three goals in the first seventeen minutes. Although it took quite some time for the Ducks to respond, the next three tallies did belong to the purple shirts with the help of S.Marricco’s back to back tallies. Rather than building off such a momentum swing, S.Kalaydjian was there to spoil the party snapping the 3-3 tie. The sniper went on to add his third for the hat trick, and the Sharks barely hung on to a nail biter. The Ducks had numerous chances to score, but were stuck hitting posts and a solid net minder in M.Rodriguez. The poor start without the sense of urgency proved to be the down fall for the Ducks in this particular game.
The Allo Mon Coco Ste Dorothee player of the game goes to Miguel Rodriguez of the Sharks. If not for his flawless play early on along with exceptional saves as the game progressed, the Sharks would have likely endured a loss. Instead, the net minder was exceptional making a ton of key stops.
