The Sharks, buoyed by their quick transitions surged ahead immediately establishing a lead that seemed insurmountable. Four of their five total goals all came by the 16 minute mark of the game. While the deficit appeared to be steep, the Ducks didn’t have to worry about the clock just yet. For them, it was all about searching for the next goal while making sure the Sharks don’t pull ahead to far. Slowly but surely, the comeback was in motion as they chipped away at the Sharks lead with some crisp plays and relentless pressure. A key tally came-from G.Papadakis’s blade, who riffled a blistering shot to riffle her second of the contest. Still, the Ducks have yet to jump ahead in this game, but felt confident now that the game was levelled. By simply asserting more pressure, that big goal finally came. T.Acheson was able to finish off a play on a precise wrist shot to bury his second . The Ducks did an excellent job making things very difficult for the Sharks to do much. And while it isn’t their preferred result, the players will hold their heads high knowing that they gave a good battle.

The Allo Mon Coco Ste Dorothee player of the game goes to Timmy Acheson of the Ducks. T.Acheson set the tone for the Ducks to ignite his teams offense. Then, with the game hanging in the balance, the clever forward made another brilliant play to decide matters for his second of the night.

Canucks able to finish regular season on a high note

In a thrilling conclusion to the regular season, the Canucks delivered a resounding performance, clinching a decisive 5-3 victory over the Penguins in a showdown filled with skill and determination. J.Tzanetakos had a standout game, generating much of the offense required in order to defeat the Penguins. The power forward went on a tear converting three times while setting up A.Martin, who was influential as well collecting three points. The Canucks were extremely responsible defensively with the luxury of having B.Verducci make the key saves. It showed that with the lead, the Canucks are difficult to play against with players like T.Bergomi  M.Porato and M.Petracca controlling the back line. As much as the Penguins attempted to mount something, the Canucks held firm taking away time and space. It may not show in the standings, but the Canucks may be able to pull some tricks up their sleeves in the post season to come if they play the way they did tonight.

The Allo Mon Coco Ste Dorothee player of the game goes to Jimmy Tzanetakos of the Canucks. From-the opening draw, Tzanetakos showcased his offensive prowess, driving the Canucks forward with his speed, skill and ability to finding the back of the net. By the time the game ended, the Canucks captured the win thanks to his hat trick and assist.
