Degenerates rebound after one sided affair with Assadi Consulting inc

In a stunning turnaround, the Degenerates emerged-from their defeat with renewed vigor. The Assadi Consulting inc handed them a ball hockey clinic in the first encounter leaving the Degenerates no choice but to show a lot more commitment in the ensuing match. To their credit, they refocused  with a new mind set by keeping it simple. Surely, getting the first goal helps as M.Richard was able to provide it on a nifty backhander. It didn’t stop there however with D.Charbonneau padding the lead with his first of two in the game. It just showed how much more engaged the Degenerates were compared to their earlier embarrassing loss. With everyone applying themselves much harder while paying attention to detail, the script was able to flip in their favour. Add  the fact that R.Ranieri was dialled in as the net minder wanted nothing less than a bounce back game. While the Assadi Consulting inc couldn’t string two solid games together, their first encounter was quite impressive as they manhandled their opponent. M.Tvaronas scored some beautiful goals for a hat trick while N.Chiminian and A.Papazian contributed with a pair each.

Double delight for Chiefs, P.Chery puts the final cherry with late hat trick in first encounter

In the first encounter between these formidable opponents, it was a nail biting affair that came down to the wire. With the score deadlocked 3-3, and only seconds remaining on the clock, anticipation hung thick in the air. That’s when P.Chery of the Chiefs stepped up in a moment of brilliance, netting a hat trick with only 10 seconds to play. Undeterred by their narrow defeat, the Classics returned to the court determined to even the score in a rematch. However, the Chiefs were not ready to relinquish their grip on victory as they stormed out of the gate building an early 3-0 lead. Again, P.Chery found the back of the net followed with back to back tallies by S.Vanier. The Classics looked disorganized unable to get anything going. Finally, M.Destounis ended a horrible spell and C.Gingras was to pull the Classics within one shortly after. In hopes of building off the momentum, K.Duplin spoiled the mood to put the Chiefs in front by two. In a twist of fate, the encounter came to an abrupt halt due to an unfortunate goaltending injury. The Chiefs were up 4-2 with about a solid period left over.

From-triumph to defeat Peters victory followed by Hustlers dominance

The opening game saw the Peters firing on all cylinders, displaying team work and nice connecting plays. K.Vincent converted on two power play goals, and M.Lastoria struck shorthanded making their special teams count. The satisfaction of winning the first game is always nice, but stringing two together would be more gratifying. Unfortunately for the Peters, the Hustlers delivered a resounding thumping. J.Mandracchia and P.Arkalis emerged as the driving forces behind the convincing victory. It was evident that both players were in sync, orchestrating the offense with finesse and precision passes. J.Mandracchia’s speed and agility combined seamlessly with P.Arkalis’s vision and playmaking ability, creating scoring opportunities that left the Peters defense scrambling to keep up. The two combined for an impressive nine points. Their standout performance not only propelled the Hustlers to victory but also served as a testament to the power of teamwork and collaboration in the fast paced world of ball hockey.

DHK grinds out pair of low scoring wins against Snipers

With both teams putting staunch defensive efforts, goals were hard to come by, but DHK’s perseverance ultimately proved to be the difference maker. Although the Snipers struck first in both encounters, the DHK eventually answered the call en route to a pair of low scoring victories. A.Manelli led the charge on two consecutive goals followed with J.Molloy’s insurance marker. The second game mirrored the first, with both teams digging in defensively and refusing to give an inch. Again, the Snipers scored first courtesy of H.Salman, but couldn’t build on their lead as they struggled to penetrate the DHK’s defense, and more importantly M.Gagnon. It was by the second frame that the DHK took over the scoreboard on their two lone tallies. B.Magna had finally tied it up, and K.Hopkins later provided the DHK its first lead of the game. All that was left over-from that point on was for the DHK to hold firm without the ball. For a second straight match, they handled their assignment by stifling a struggling offense by the Snipers.

Sharpshooters bounce back to level mini series with Les Yables

The first game saw the Sharpshooters fall just short in a closely contested battle, as Les Yables edged them out with a 4-3 victory. The Sharpshooters didn’t help their cause by taking three penalties that all resulted in power play goals for Les Yables. M-O Brouillard was a fire cracker making plenty happen out there by utilising his speed and vision. His two goals and assist on D.Pellerin’s winner proved to be vital for the win. Despite the setback, the Sharpshooters remained undeterred, determined to show their mettle in the second game. From-the opening face off, they came out firing on all cylinders. With clutch plays and unwavering determination, they managed to seize control of the game and build a sufficient lead. A.Reid and A.Lepore caused most of the harm for Les Yables as both players tallied twice apiece. For a good duration of the game, the Sharpshooters appeared to be safe en route to an easy win. However, that started to change when P.Corbin posting two quick goals to suddenly pull Les Yables within two. With the net minder pulled along with having over a minute left over, this game was far-from over. It really took M.Vinciguerra to remain focus to bail his club out . Luckily enough for the Sharpshooters, Vinciguerra was clutch making some in close jaw dropping saves in order to preserve the win.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Patrick Chery of the Chiefs. As the clock ticked down and tensions rose, P.Chery came through again bagging his third goal to snap a late 3-3 tie. Throughout four entire periods, the forward was heavily engaged giving the Chiefs the edge they needed in order to defeat a formidable opponent on two occasions.
