Chiefs play without the ball left Hustlers searching for answers

The action unfolded with the Chiefs setting the tone early, displaying a tight defensive strategy that left the Hustlers work hard for openings. Although they got four goals in the first encounter, it wasn’t enough to match the Chiefs lethal attack ultimately falling short by a 6-4 score line. The second game nearly resembled the first one as the Chiefs continued to defend with precision and resilience. The Hustlers had a lot of ball control, but couldn’t generate the high end chances in order to figure out a solid goaltender in G.Vermette. On the other hand, the Chiefs strung together some nice looking plays that resulted in high lite reel goals. S.Vanier sparked a hat trick in the second game, and P.Cherry was involved in four of his clubs five goals. Strategic positioning, timely interceptions, and disciplined play-from the Chiefs frustrated the Hustlers in both their clean wins.

Sharpshooters cruise to a dual 7-0 wins against the Beer Belly Boys

Throughout both matches, it was evident that the Sharpshooters had the extra step against the Beer Belly Boys. The extra time playing with the ball can only keep the court tilted in one area. The Sharpshooters simply controlled the play before finding the open lanes to bury their chances. In both their 7-0 wins, M.Vinciguerra had a calm night facing a total of 14 shots to record a pair of shutouts. Unless the Beer Belly Boys make it a point to play a solid man on man game, these types of results are to be expected. The strategy needs to stem-from their back end by causing turnovers that translate into an offense rush. D.Greco cashed in three times for a hat tick in the opener. A.Lepore scored twice as part of a five point performance. As for the second encounter, M.Kardum took charge collecting five points while V.Orsini-Boyer bagged pair of early goals.

Degenerates use depth to outlast Snipers

In a strategic showcase of depth and versatility, the Degenerates utilized their deep roster to secure consecutive wins against the Snipers. The games unfolded with the Degenerates seamlessly rotating players, keeping the Snipers on their toes and ultimately claiming  victory through a combination of skilful play and quick line changes. It helps having a player step it up when it comes to dominating the score sheet. In the case of the first match, J.Courteau was instrumental influencing the final score with four big goals. The second encounter did see the Snipers pull ahead early courtesy of Hadi Khanafer. Despite falling behind however, the Degenerates stuck with it, and eventually got rewarded-from no other than J.Courteau.  Both sides had one more frame in order to complete their mission. Even though the Snipers sought redemption after dropping the earlier contest, the Degenerates used their leverage once more to battle hard and hit the back of the net on three occasions. Goals came-from different players in a three minute span which proved to be sufficient for a complete four period effort.

Peters prevail in double triumphs over formidable Classics

A pair of goals coupled with a sound defensive game, the Peters were able to secure a hard fought 2-0 victory against a side that doesn’t get shutout to often. The game unfolded with the Peters showcasing their resilience and tactical prowess, overcoming the challenges posed by their formidable opponent. With the first game under their belt, the Peters knew the Classics were in search for some redemption. That didn’t change the game plan however with the Peters carrying their good habits into the second encounter. Again, they rose to the occasion with unwavering determination, and took immediate control by playing ahead. Although the margin was close maintaining only a one goal lead, the Peters kept their composure and followed the assignment of playing through the motions. The Classics had well over a period to try and equalise, but failed to get though the Peters defense, and more importantly C.Fortin.

Assadi Consulting inc and Les Yables trade wins in a pair of intense battles

The two games were characterized by intense action, with both teams leaving it all on the court. In the first encounter, the game remained close-from start to finish, but the Assadi Consulting inc always carried their slight lead to capture the win. M.Tvaronas got credited the winner, and P.Assadi was stellar in net denying nearly everything in sight. The second game proved to be equally intense, as Les Yables sought redemption and came out with renewed determination. Once again, the two teams engaged in some back and fort action. The difference this time was that les Yables won a big first period on a pair of goals by N.St-Onge to carry an advantage heading into the final frame. The Assadi Consulting inc wasn’t planning to let this one go by that easily with M.Tvaronas providing a huge goal to narrow the gap by one. Since time was yet to be an issue, Les Yables found themselves clinging to their slim lead as their opponent pushed forward in search of an equaliser. However, Les Yables defense held firm, and J-F Simoneau took care of the rest as the last line of defense making all the necessary stops to split the mini series with the Assadi Consulting inc.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Jonathan Courteau of the Degenerates. The power forward showcased his offensive prowess by netting an impressive four goals, spearheading his teams attack with clinical finishing and precision.
