Peters overwhelmed in rematch after shootout loss to Classics

In a mini series filled with intensity, the Classics showcased their dominance by manhandling the Peters in their second encounter. With a display of skill and exceptional goaltending by A.Ekonomakis, the Classics secured a decisive victory, leaving the Peters in their wake. This matchup was a stark departure-from their first game, which had been a nail biting affair ultimately decided in a shootout favouring the Classics. C.Gingras was the only player to score during the breakaways with A.Ekonomakis denying two attempts to earn the victory. Heading into the second encounter, The Peters had their fair share of chances, but struggled to beat the Classics net minder. Unfortunately, every time the Classics generated something good, it usually found its way in the net. Its not like C.Fortin didn’t do his part. The Classics often don’t miss when M.Destounis is in close to finish off a play or when A.Kakivelis releases a wicked shot giving no goaltender time to react. P.Karvouriaris also joined the club bagging a pair leaving no doubt about their offensive superiority.

Les Yables outshine Snipers in second match

The Snipers showed that they were able to compete toe to toe with les Yables after dropping a 4-2 shootout loss. The two sides traded a goal apiece in the first two periods which forced a breakaway competition. During that span, Les Yables owned it by converting twice with goals by D.Marcotte and M-O Brouillard. Unlike the first encounter ,Les Yables set the pace with quicker transitions and precision passing leaving the Snipers scrambling to keep up. All five of their goals came-from different players which made it harder for the Snipers to formulate a specific game plan. Les Yables were simply faster, and because of their speed and finesse, the Snipers couldn’t match their pace which explains the final score line. F.Lacasse got credited the winner while J-F Simard allowed all but one goal to earn his second win in net.

DHK’s strong finish propels them to a pair of victories over the Degenerates

Despite facing a deficit, the Degenerates bounced back in the first encounter to even the score in a thrilling show down. M.Chenier’s second that came very late forced a shootout against a formidable opponent. With A.Manelli patiently waiting out R.Ranieri on a nifty move coupled with M.Gagnon denying both attempts, the DHK secured the win anyway. Much of the ensuing match remained very close with neither side grabbing an edge after a period. Then, on a wicked shot by the DHK’s captain N.Francis that snapped the tie, the flood gates opened for the DHK. The Degenerates were unable to contain the DHK’s fire power that resulted in four unanswered goals. A.Manelli posted his second as did N.Francis to finish off the night strong. For well over three periods, the two sides went back and forth with no clear cut indictor on who would win. It wasn’t until the latter stages of the final frame that the DHK were able to separate themselves as a superior opponent.

Assadi Consulting inc and Sharpshooters trade wins in heart pounding showdown

In a thrilling ball hockey showdown, the Sharpshooters and the Assadi Consulting inc clashed in a pair of games that had incredible moments. The back and forth battle saw both teams exchange goals stemming-from many high executed plays. After settling for a 5-5 regulation tie, the Assadi Consulting inc got the edge by striking twice in the shootout. M.Carpentier had already tallied twice before adding the shootout winning goal. Both sides knew entering the second tilt that it was going to be another roller coaster game of goals and excitement. With M.Kardum and A.Lepore notching a pair of first period goals apiece, the Sharpshooters were able to carry a slight 4-3 lead heading into the final frame. This was all going on with the Sharpshooters playing with a shorter bench compared to the Assadi Consulting inc. It didn’t stop them however-from pushing the pace as they immediately put two more behind the oppositions net minder for a solid cushion. Since time wasn’t yet an issue, the Assadi Consulting inc battled back to cut the lead by one. As the game continued to progress, the Assadi Consulting inc kept launching relentless pressure in order to try and equalise. As much as they attempted to even the score, M.Vinciguerra stood tall pushing aside every shot he faced, which eventually led to P.Carone securing the win in an empty cage.
