Right-from the opening moments, the Senators seized control of the game and never relinquished their lead. The Rangers put up a valiant fight , but the Senators cohesive teamwork and strategy provided to be a deciding factor in this championship run. The Senators defensive efforts were commendable as they identified the threats on the other side making it very difficult for the Rangers to get their way.
