Wednesday September 25(Semi finals)
(1)Black Knights vs Generals(5) Game 2
Forced to even up the series, the Black Knights couldn’t match the strength of their opponents. The Generals got the ball rolling by the second period posting three goals before adding two third period insurance markers to secure a place in the finals. J.Paradis netted the winner and J-R Turgeon came up big once again in the playoffs by netting back to back tallies. The Black Knights only got on the board once when M.Fazzari solved O.Gaucher for a rare time.
(2)Royal Flush vs Red Lite(8) Game 2
Despite everything going right for the Royal Flush, they simply couldn’t match up versus a superior squad. Down 2-0, Red Lite kept it calm and slowly worked there way back up by posting eight straight goals to even up the series. Half of those tallies came from Mathieu Duguay alone but what made it even more impressive was that the natural sniper participated in all eight goals. Although this series is tied at one game a piece, Red Lite expect nothing other than to make sure they are in the finals versus the Generals as they look to knock out the Royal Flush in a third and deciding game.
The player of the night goes to Mathieu Duguay of Red Lite. At this level, when anyone can get eight possible points in eight goals the honour is simply justified.
