M.Baccari was the lone scorer in the shootout as the Steakfrites edged the Left Wings 3-2 on Monday night. M.Dimeglio and S.Lincourt helped the Left Wings build a 2-0 lead late in the first period. P.Dupuis replied in the second period cutting the lead in half before J.Picard evened the score by the nine minute mark of the final frame. M.Bourre made 30 saves and turned away all three shooters he faced in the shootout.
(3)Armadillos vs Les Crooners(7)
There was no denying what the S.Ogilvie and G.Berard factor means for the Crooners. Ogilvie and Berard produced six points each as the Crooners dusted off the Armadillos. The damage was done early on where the Crooners came out of the first with a 4-1 lead. The Armadillos did fight back and came within one with goals from T.Baltzis and P.Koutsogiannopoulos only to drop the final frame giving up three straight tallies.
(2)Venom vs Ultimate Blast(3)
It was just a matter of time for the Ultimate Blast to get in the winning column. A.Paul avoided overtime with an up lifting tally leaving just over a minute remaining in regulation time. B.Cherubin and A.Bien-Aime combined for four points and R.Province stopped 26 of 28 shots. Venom got both their tallies from M-A Lefebvre and J.Courteau.
(3)Raging Rhinos vs Bramabulls(8)
D.Grasso scored one goal and added four assists in leading the Bramabulls to a convincing 8-3 win over the Raging Rhinos. P.Musto set the tone early on notching two first period goals as the only multi goal scorer of the contest. The Bramabulls scored once on their power and short handed and have improved to 500 record while the Raging Rhinos still sit on top of the D standings.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Simon Ogilvie of the Crooners. Ogilvie scored twice that included the game winner along with four helpers to lead his club to a 7-3 win over the Armadillos.
