(1)Brewers vs D-Blocks(4)
It may not have been the way they wanted to start their season after capturing the D Thursday night championship but the Brewers will get over it quickly. D-Blocks have been out of action for a while and after making some adjustments, the newly added squad look to be in immediate form. With goals in every period and with efforts from four different goal scorers, the D-Blocks will use that confidence moving forward in what will be a grinding division. The Brewers needed the five minute mark of the third period to get to F.Russo who denied every Brewer except for D.Catalono. The D-Blocks saw B.Lober accumulate three points and P.Iannitelli notch the winner late in the second period.
(5)TANK vs Legacy(5) S.O
In a game that is never over until it’s over, thought Tank a valuable lesson after blowing a 4-2 lead with only 30 seconds remaining. New to the D division, the young crew in green used three solid lines to nearly defeat an established Legacy team. The captain N.Gilbert showed a great example by posting three points that included two third period goals for Tank. At that point, it was only about running out the time but that changed when S.Robineault and N.Zermalias scored late to force the extra time. Each side couldn’t get it done in the sudden death period which left the shootout where T.Bozinakis scored for Legacy while B.Deslauriers tallied his second for Tank.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Fabio Russo. In his opening game of the season, the D-Blocks net minder denied the defending champs to only one goal.
