1 Timer striker P-A Surprenant stuns everyone with 4 goals in six minutes
It’s fair to say that P-A Surprenant made an impact on Monday night against the 23rd Hour. The prolific goal scorer put on an unprecedented six minute scoring barrage. Starting at the three minute mark of the opening frame, the 1 Timer’s forward nodded an impressive four goals to leave his club strolling to a 5-2 win. C.Gagnon-Ethier and C-T Perrault collected two assists and J-F Gagnon capped off the opening contest with a late marker. The second match didn’t slow down for P-A Surprenant by any means. The only difference was that he decided to help create the offence by setting up four tallies in what became a lopsided affair. T.Daigneault benefited twice-from his linemate who went on to complete a hat trick while J-G Gagnon did the exact same thing netting three goals that included a pair of assists -from the very same Surprenant. There wasn’t much the 1 Timer did wrong on this night dominating most aspects of the game. F.Koch allowed only two goals in both encounters after facing a total of 20 shots. C-P Sleedge provided the little offence by the 23rd Hour with both goals in the 9-2 loss.

Venom down Team X twice, including buzzer beater with 0.5 seconds remaining
In a much happier ending, Venom led by E.Girouard’s last second goal sucked the life out of Team X with a crushing loss. Down for most of the game, Team X overcame a 3-1 deficit and was surely headed for the shootout up until E.Girouard tipped in a perfect feed by M.Dalpe. Team X knew that they missed out on capturing some points with a very short bench. That bitter end proved to be costly in the second encounter as Venom simply out worked a more tired bunch. In the span of only four minutes, Team X found themselves in a deeper hole, this time trailing 3-0.K.Araujo,J.Quesnel-Vinet and J.Parisella each had two points and R.Ranieri made some key saves limiting Team X to only a power play goal.

Punishers ride high octane offence in both encounters with Jokers
Unless you play a determined defensive styled game along with exceptional goaltending, than there won’t be much of a chance to defeat a team like the Punishers. Led by both their defense and explosive attack up front, the Punishers will score and continue to score just like they have been doing all season. Tonight, the Jokers fell victims giving up a total of 16 goals in both games. The first match saw D.Ruiz lead the charge with three goals while his captain J.Fidrilis and J.Hurtubise buried two goals apiece. The Jokers held their own in the opening frame but couldn’t keep up by the second period allowing four unanswered goals. In hopes of putting up a better challenge in the second match, things only got worse for the Jokers falling behind 5-1 barley ten minutes into the game. C.Gingras posted two tallies during that span as the only player to score twice out of the seven goals. The Jokers knew they were entering a difficult night without some of their key players. They did manage a good finish by drawing 2-2 in the second period with the help of J.Blouin’s two goals.
