(1)Trappers vs Tropics(4)
Tropics surge again to remain atop of D Wednesday standings
V.Crivello was at it again posting two goals and an assist, and the Tropics look like they will do no wrong by the way they are playing as of late. The Tropics decided this one by the second period where they built a comfortable 3-0 lead. The Trappers did get some life by the early stages of the third period when D.Castonguay finally solved A.Boulieri, but that was a close as it got. S.Wilcox helped regain a three goal cushion only moments later for his second point of the game. With only two goals for after three starts, the Trappers will need to figure out how to address their scoring woes up front.
(8)Smackdaddys vs Fat Roy(1)
Smackdaddys punish Fat Roy with 8-1 loss
F.Laurin and J-C Lavois each scored a pair as the Smackdaddys ran up the score against Fat Roy on Wednesday night. It was a night that nothing went right for Fat Roy and everything going well for the Smackdaddys. Down 3-0 after one period, N.Gikas looked to ignite his team by getting on board but that was just an illusion as the Smackdaddys continued to pour it on. Despite the lopsided loss, the Fat Roy did manage some shots and quality chances only to beat S.Morante on one occasion. M.Destounis, M.Boivin, K.Arsenault and M-R Crevier also went on to score for the Smackaddys, who collected their second straight win of the season.
(6)Punishers vs Venom(3)
C.Gingras nets a pair, Punishers double up Venom
After escaping the first period up 3-2, the Punishers pulled away-from there en route to a double up victory over Venom. Whatever happened in the second period, Venom couldn’t keep up with the Punishers who took the frame 2-0 with goals by C.Stamadianos and C.Gingras. That sequence proved to be more than enough for the result despite conceding a tally by M.Dalpe. N.Mackeen was on top of his game limiting a potent offence to three goals on 28 shots. The Punishers, apart-from C.Gingras’s two markers had M.Matteau, K.Tsoukalas, C.Stamadianos and F.Russo also find the back of the net.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Vincent Crivello of the Tropics. His two goals and one assist carried his club over the top in a 4-1 win over the Trappers.
