(0)Team Haiti vs Red Lite(7)
Veteran S.Morello fits right in
Red Lite put their shocking defeat to P-Ball in the rear view mirror with the hammering of Team Haiti. Red Lite overwhelmed their opponent to the tune of 7-0.Team Haiti had some good licks but couldn't execute on their rare chances. Who other than a legendary ball hockey player to get things going? S.Morello didn't miss a beat and opened the game with his first of two on the night. Then,J.Bradley picked a perfect top corner and Team Haiti knew they were in trouble despite the amount of hockey left over. A 2-0 lead eventually turned into a four goal cushion after two periods and Red Lite simply cruised to an easy victory. M.David also scored twice and L.Augustin faced barely 15 shots to earn a shutout.
(3)Black Knights vs P-Ball(7)
Captain J.Gagne shows how it's done
The P-Ball put forth another strong effort and were led by their captain J.Gagne, who netted a hat trick in a 7-3 rout of the Black Knights. A bulk of the action occurred early in the second period. The game was tied 1-1 when a furry of goals went in a very short span. P-Ball came out on top of the surge thanks to P.Bibeau's fourth point of the night. With still a period left over, the Black Knights long stretch without a goal carried over the rest of the way. P-O Girouard had a dominant second half and collected a second straight win after facing 21 shots. Its only two games in, and so far so good for the P-Ball,who will be incredibly hard to beat.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Sandro Morello of Red Lite. At no point does the ageless wonder plan on slowing down. Tonight, the veteran keeps showing why he can play hockey at its highest level by providing the first and last goal for his club.
