(6)Fatal Demons vs Lynx(5)
Lynx late surge falls short
Trailing by four goals heading into the third period, the Lynx clawed back only to fall short by one. For two straight periods, the Fatal Demons could do no wrong. They kept the momentum going and looked to smoke the Lynx right off the field knowing that they had a short bench. While everything suggested an easy final frame, the Lynx proved not only to themselves, but to the Fatal Demons as well that they weren't done yet. J.Mason had scored twice and nearly tied it towards the end that would have mounted an incredible comeback. This is one result that won't affect the Lynx. Once they heal their wounds and fill up their roster, teams will quickly remember how difficult they are to beat. But for now, the Fatal Demons will take the win thanks to an overall solid game that included balanced scoring and stable goaltending-from S.Morante.
(2)Butchers vs HC Mutts(7)
HC Mutts looking good right away, pull away in second half of game
Some little mistakes here and there spoiled the night for the Butchers, who will be in search of their identity with some new players. They did start off strong but couldn't keep up with the pace of their opponent. The HC Mutts eventually settled in feeling comfortable as the game went on and it showed as they made lots of quick fancy plays that would result into goals. All seven of their tallies came-from different players. He didn't have a busy night but J.Capalbo showed that he will fit right in for the HC Mutts.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to John Capalbo of the HC Mutts. After being out of action for a while, the net minder looked like he didn't miss a beat allowing only two goals.
