(7)Winter Soldiers vs Golden Knights (3)
Winter Soldiers survive Golden Knights comeback attempt
The Golden Knights had tilted the court early in the third period resulting in three straight goals. They struck twice on the power play and managed to pull themselves within one after being down 4-0. Unfortunately, even despite battling back in a short period of time, the Winter Soldiers got their act together to finish the match strong. S.Simitsakos had a big hand in it as the forward not only opened the scoring but was able set up three teammates as well. This win came with the help of seven different goal scores for the Winter Soldiers, who look to be rolling on all cylinders.
(6)Les Raymonds vs Horsemen (7)
Two quick third period goals give Horsemen victory over Les Raymonds
It was a game where both teams had to grind it out till the very end. The Horsemen entered the third period up 5-4 but weren't able to hang on as Les Raymonds tilted the frame to their advantage thanks to goals-from A.DeCarolis and K.Miraldo. By responding in such a manner, Les Raymonds may have assumed that things would end up the way they wanted. Clearly it wasn't the case as the Horsemen responded immediately with two quick goals. M.Mamoulidis, after scoring late in the second period was responsible for setting up P.Carone's equaliser and his captain V.Pandza's go ahead marker. M.Vinciguerra knew-from that point on that he needed to make the difference in net, and did so by shutting down the opposition for over half a period.
(9)Kentucky Blue vs Fat Roy(2)
Offense erupts in barn burner for Kentucky Blue
Goals weren't an issue on Wednesday night for the Kentucky Blue. After taking a commanding 3-0 lead in the opening frame, the Kentucky Blue were just getting started. They added four more tallies by the second and two by the third en route to an easy win. M.Broccoli, who dressed for a first time showed that he fits right in. The forward went on a rampage collecting seven points that included a hat trick. While he was clearly a threat, others had their hands in the massacre as well. A.Franceschini bagged two goals and a pair of helpers while T.Oliveira was feeling generous setting up four tallies as part of a five point performance.
(1)HBHA Masters 37+ vs Punishers (4)
Punishers rout rival to keep rolling
P.Karvouriaris and his captain J.Fidrilis scored first period goals and N.Mackeen had a near perfect outing to help the Punishers swamp the HBHA Masters 37 + 4-1 on Wednesday night. For nearly two full periods, the HBHA Masters couldn't get to Mackeen up until P.Doulis ended the spell very late in the second period. Still, the Seniors were stuck chasing the game but knew that they were only one shot on net from-levelling the score. However, that all changed when C.Gagnon widened the gap with only five minutes left to play. Then, just to secure all doubts, C.Kakivelis would ultimately put a seal to the contest with his second point of the night .It's know five games in and the Punishers have yet to show any signs of weakness.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Mario Mamoulides of the Horsemen. In what was a wild 7-6 win over Les Raymonds, M.Mamoulides was a thorn all night scoring twice while setting up two crucial goals by the third period.
