(1)Brewers vs Devil Dawgz(2)
Marc Jr Archambault goal lifts Devil Dawgz to close win over Brewers
The Devil Dawgz are one resilient bunch. Marc Jr Archambault snapped a 1-1 third period tie and the Devil Dawgz shrugged off a sluggish start top the Brewers on Friday night. This game was expected to be a tight battle when considering their style of play. The Brewers had the better start when G.Nehme opened the scoring early in the second period. Eventually, the Devil Dawgz would respond and turn up their play collecting the next two goals after G.Platanitis single handily kept the Brewers in the game. Time wasn’t yet a factor but that didn’t get in the way of the Devil Dawgz, and especially M.Trivisonno, who remained focused riding out the clock.
(4)HBHA Seniors vs Templars(1)
HBHA Seniors rout Templars, score three quick first period goals
The HBHA Seniors got off to a great start and never looked back on Friday night. It took just over two minutes of play at the half way mark of the first period for P.Karigiannis, M.Mavroudis and M.Argiris to get the scoring done. There was no doubt the HBHA Seniors played to their identity by dominating possession while relying on their structured game. The Templars got their chances here and there but weren’t as clean cut as they hoped for. They missed out on a 5-3 power play and only got on board when the game was nearly over. A.Bonvino was the only player that eventually solved J.Vrettis, who left with a slight bitter taste knowing he was only a minute and change away from recording another shutout.
(0)The Family vs Bramabulls(10)
Bramabulls use stacked roster to overwhelm Family
P.Rivera and G.Lipartiti each had two goals, M.Gravano earned a shutout and the rampaging Brmabaulls cruised to a 10-0 blowout victory over the Family. It didn’t take long for the Bramabulls to take the wind out of the Family. Players find it harder to get motivated when stuck with a brutal start. For the Family, it was just about getting through the game while the Bramabulls never let go of the pedal extending the misery till the ten goal mercy rule that occurred early in the third period. A.DiPerna was glad to have a complete roster during the regular season, something that he’ll make sure comes together when the playoffs arrive.
The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Mike Trivisonno of the Devil Dawgz. In a tight competitive battle with the Brewers, Trivisonno was brilliant stopping over 30 shots in a close 2-1 victory.
