Orient looking to adjust after beat down to Golden Knights
The Golden Knights convincingly, methodically, almost casually took care of business versus a hard nosed Orient team. The Orient looked to have the recipe in their game plan for a large part during the first encounter, but that slowly changed with the Golden Knights eventually taking over. A quick three goal second period burst led them to a double up 4-2 victory. In hopes of keeping the second game as close as possible, the Orient were backpedalling rather than taking control of the game. One high end play after another quickly put the Golden Knights in front which took the energy and confidence-from a defeated side. There was no doubt the Golden Knights played to their potential with six different players scoring in the 6-0 rout while the Orient know they need to adjust and address certain issues. For now, things will remain the same unless a team figures out a way to match the Golden Knights strengths.

Assadi Classics pair wins in close encounters with RCGT Knights
Both teams knew that this one was going to be a potential dog fight till the very end. The first encounter was decided late when M.Baccari snapped a 3-3 tie for the Assadi Classics. It was understood that the ensuing match promised to be a tough and exciting one considering the way things ended. The RCGT Knights built an early 2-0 lead on goals-from F.Bchara and G.Typaldos, but that was very short lived as M.Destounis led the charge posting two very quick goals. M.Dupuis did put the RCGT Knights back in front only to see another quick response by S.Fraga keep this game idle. From that point on, the game turned into a defence dominated battle as expected. Nearly a full period went without anyone scoring which forced a three man shootout in the end. With J.Pantelis patiently faking out S.Sauk, the Assadi Classics struck first putting immediate pressure for a response by the RCGT Knights. Unfortunately, all three attempts didn’t materialise as P.Assadi shut the door earning a second straight win.

HBHA Seniors Respond furiously to level with Dragons
After dropping their earlier contest in a shootout, the HBHA Seniors responded with the bounce back performance they needed in the second match. It was clear that the HBHA Seniors wanted to come out getting as many orange balls fired toward S.Morante. Ultimately, they absolutely blew the Dragons out by a 5-1 margin after only one frame. P.Musto, after netting his clubs lone shootout marker, scored the last two goals of the period to put a serious dent in the game. The Dragons never really got their footing, and perhaps were stuck feeling the high of taking the earlier match. Maybe with a little more urgency, the Dragons could have made it more respectable. B.Daniele was involved in every single Dragons goals including a shootout tally. As for the HBHA Seniors, Q.Syrydiuk chipped in with a pair and a helper while setting up P.Musto for the winner in the opening encounter.

Degenerates alarm sounds off after crushing defeat to Mighty Cucs
The Mighty Cucs were happy to look up at the clock and notice only six seconds left in the game when A.Masi popped in the winner snapping a 1-1 tie. Both goalies played well enough to give their side a very good chance to taking the first encounter. In this case, the Mighty Cucs seized the moment after the Degenerates had their fair shake of downing their opponent. Those types of loses only fuels the losing side to come out stronger and with a lot more bite in their game. The Degenerates were clearly hungrier dominating most of the play that resulted in a 3-1 lead after one period. They weren’t done just yet as they continued to push the pace making the Mighty Cucs work harder. After sparking two first period goals, S.Marricco changed his role setting up three markers by the last period. L.Folini took over-from that point and was an absolute force scoring three times during that stretch as was A.Desrosiers, who collected a total of six points.
