P.Stroubakis and M.Barone power Team Red with hat tricks

Team Red’s potent offense loomed large on Sunday night as they took on Team Yellow. Powered by a pair of hat tricks-from P.Stroubakis and M.Barone, Team Red proved to be a handful for the oppositions defence and goaltender. It helps having a strong supporting cast which enabled the two players to collect a hat trick. The play making abilities were in full display, especially in the first half of the game where Team Red ran up the score for a 6-1 lead at one point. Team Yellow did eventually calm the high tides by responding with three goals of their own. M.Scarpetta and A.Zarkarian led the charge for their side bagging two goals each. With this win, Team Red are starting in inch closer as a middle of the pack team.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Perry Stroubakis of Team Red. When you have that kind of speed, skill and vision, points are to be expected. P.Stroubakis collected five points including a hat trick to help lead his club to a convincing win.

Team Pink take this one by committee over Team Green

As a whole, Team Pink played great hockey. Many forwards were firing on all cylinders, the defence looked solid, and G.Platanitis stood his ground during an important stretch during the game. For well over twenty minutes into this contest, Team Green were neck in neck trailing only by one goal. It was only by the 27^th mark of the game that this contest tilted in one direction. Team Pink found that extra gear and took off-from there striking four consecutive times to create a nice gap. The scoring came by many different players which sometimes makes it hard for a defending side to contain since there isn’t an apparent threat. Team Green couldn’t follow their assignments on how to slow things down. By the time things calmed down, the game was well out of reach for any sort of miracle comeback. J.Choudhry, A.Daghlian and M.Kardum all had a pair in the win while D.Fortier did the same, but in a losing cause.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to George Platanitis of Team Pink. At an important time during the contest, G.Platanitis was there to deliver a strong goaltending performance keeping Team Green off the score sheet for twenty straight minutes.

Team Brown allow four in a row after a decent start with Team Black

For a large part, it looked like this contest was going to go down to the wire or at the very least for it to remain close till the end. Both sides had traded a pair of goals each, the game remained levelled at two goals apiece, and nobody really knew where this was headed. That was until a very small sequence where Team Black came out of nowhere riffling three goals in just over two minutes. Talk about a turn of events. What once looked like an evenly matched game turned into a meltdown for Team Brown. Goals came fast and-from three different players that provided a 5-2 lead in favour of Team Black. From-starting off aggressive and precise, Team Brown went to playing sloppy and on their heels throughout the mid part of the contest. They just couldn’t find their game and keep it together for long enough. Apart-from P.Stroubakis cashing in twice, Team Black spread out their offense getting goals-from seven different players.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to A.Zardarian. The goaltender helped his team out by not allowing a single goal for twenty two straight minutes. With the game tied 2-2, Zardarian shut the door enabling his side to build off it en route to a well earned victory.

N.Macri strikes 4 times, G.Villenueve was sharp in net, and Team White ride a dominant start

Simply put, Team White was to much to handle for Team Orange. For nearly forty straight minutes, Team Orange struggled to get on board, and only got there thanks to B.Monette. A good chunk of their scoring came by N.Macri, who rattled off four markers. Its one things to fail in one department by allowing a bunch of goals, but its another to not be able to generate anything either. Team Orange have the leadership and quality players to make something happen. However, they just couldn’t put anything together in this particular game. Sometimes, you just run into a hot net minder where nothing much can really be done. This couldn’t be the expectations for Team Orange, who have some figuring out to do. E.Colella will have a week to deal with fumes coming out of his ears.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to G.Villeneuve of Team White. He didn’t need to be perfect, but G.Villeneuve was close to it making a bunch of nice saves while allowing only his first goal fairly late in the game.

Team Blue battle back against Team Purple but fall short in the end

Team Purple spent twenty minutes building a 4-1 lead, and the next fifteen minutes nearly giving it away. Some spotty decision making enabled Team Blue to battle back on two very fast goals by J-C Mansour and P.Desforges. All of a sudden, there was a game making that next goal very crucial. In hopes of carrying their momentum, Team Blue fell back a few steps allowing two very quick tallies by A.Zafiropoulos and A.Angelis. What once appeared like a closely knitted affair spiralled into one direction with Team Purple regaining control. Still, time wasn’t yet an issue, but the order was tall. A.DeSua would eventually respond for Team Blue to pull his side within a pair, but that was all they would get behind B.Verducci with eight minutes remaining. C.Zafiropoulos and A.Zafiropoulos ignited the offense netting two goals each while combining for a total of eight points.

The Allo Mon Coco player of the game goes to Costa Zafiropoulos of Team Purple. In the seven goals scored by Team Purple, the veteran had his hand on five of those tallies, and was a major reason why his side prevailed.
