Scoring first and playing ahead proved to be vital for the Sharks on Tuesday night. The Penguins, however, refused to go down without a fight. Despite facing a persistent Sharks offense, they managed to keep the game within reach, creating a suspenseful atmosphere that had fans on the edge of their seats. The Sharks always played with a slight lead, and were ahead 4-2 at one point until the Penguins kept pulling themselves within one. It was one of those games that a particular player kept making a huge impact. S.Kalaydjian quickly became the focal point of the match, showcasing remarkable skill and finishing ability. His four goals not only demonstrated his offensive prowess, but also proved to be the decisive factor in securing the Sharks hard fought win. D.Greco had a major role as well collecting four points for the Sharks while M.Rodriguez continues to steal the spot light in net making a bunch of key saves. With the win, the Sharks have yet to drop a game after five starts into the regular season.

From-the opening minutes, the game lived up to its billing as a high octane contest, with both teams displaying offensive fire power. The Canucks initially took control, building a lead and putting the Ducks on the back foot. This lasted for a large portion of the game with the Ducks having to play catch up. The good news was that the game was always within reach for potential comeback. Eventually, they settled in, and finally found their rhythm. The Ducks unleashed a pair of sequences that flipped the script. From-trailing all game long, the Ducks went on a tear to complete a remarkable turn around that saw them up 11-7 at one point. It was a momentum swing that seemed enough to secure an easy finish to the game, especially with time running out. That being said, the Canucks had other plans in mind, and that was to keep battling knowing that anything can happen. After reducing the gap by three, the Canucks removed their net minder for the extra attacker. It was understood that the Canucks would throw everything they have in order to narrow the gap. The decision of pulling out their goaltender proved fruitful as they not only scored once, but twice to pull within one. The scoreboard showed an entire minute left over for the potential of an epic comeback. However, their valiant efforts ultimately fell just short, as the Ducks held on for a nail biting victory.
