Sharks sink as Penguins swim to victory
(10)Penguins vs Sharks(5)
The game started with both teams trading a bunch of chances that didn’t really give anyone an edge. The Penguins did pull ahead slightly when F.Bchara posted back to back tallies. As the game moved on, the pace started to shift favouring the Penguins only. They tightened up defensively, and exploited gaps in the Sharks defense. With precision passing and sharp shooting, they gradually seized control and pulled away leaving the Sharks lost in shallow waters. F.Bchara continues to put up some nice numbers as the sniper was a thorn all game collecting an impressive seven points. It was clear that the Sharks had no answers on how to slow down the Penguins top gun. Maybe a little more attention toward him could have kept the game much closer. By the time the Sharks realised it, the contest was already out of reach.
The Allo Mon Coco Ste Dorothee player of the game goes to Fadl Bchara of the Penguins. His impact on the game was felt-from the opening draw, as he showcased his scoring capabilities by notching four goals while setting up three teammates.
Ducks unleash offensive onslaught in final stretch to over power Canucks
(15)Ducks vs Canucks(5)
Despite the lopsided score, this contest was actually very close for about two thirds of the game. It wasn’t until the final stretch that the Ducks truly found their stride, unleashing an offensive onslaught that left the Canucks struggling to keep pace. By simply moving the ball around, the Ducks created their chances, and goals came in quick succession. Naturally, T.Nardelli would have his foot prints on a high scoring game like this. The sharpshooter hit his target six times that included some nice precise shots to finding the back of the net. Also in that mix was P.Labateya, who rattled of four markers on some precise one timers. Whatever happened in the latter stages, this contest shifted in one direction that saw the Ducks overwhelm their opponent. The Canucks couldn’t stem the tide, and were stuck enduring a difficult finish wanting nothing less than to hear the sound of the buzzer.
The Allo Mon Coco Ste Dorothee player of the game goes to Phil Labateya of the Ducks. Using his keen sense of positioning, the forward seemed to be at the right spot for most of the game which explained why he buried fours goals and an assist.
