C.Confuorti and Team Italy shut down Team Haiti

Led by a stalwart defense and stellar goaltending by C.Confuorti, Team Italy thwarted every offensive attempt-from the Haitians’s side, frustrating their opponent and limiting their scoring opportunities. Despite Haiti’s valiant efforts to break through Team Italy’s defensive wall, they struggled to find openings, as Team Italy maintained their composure and executed their game plan flawlessly. Meanwhile, Team Italy’s offense capitalised  on their chances posting goals in every period. D.Lombardi was able to strike just over two minutes in. After a drought of back and forth action where the goaltenders stood tall keeping the game honest, P.Musto was finally able to break the barrier and provide Team Italy a two goal cushion. Throughout most of the match, Team Italy continued to tighten their grip taking away as much time and space -from their opponents. For the few chances Team Haiti tried to bounce back, C.Confuorti stood in the way. The net minder was dialled in making all the necessary stops toward him to earn a well deserved shutout. The win was a testament to Team Italy’s strength and cohesion as a team, with every player contributing to the success. For Team Haiti, it was a frustrating result, but they can take pride in their effort and determination despite the outcome.

Team Greece steamrolls past Team Pakistan

In a lopsided affair that showcased the sheer dominance of Team Greece, they surged to a commanding victory in a resounding display of skill and precision on the court. It was evident that Team Greece meant business , wasting no time in asserting their authority with swift passes, relentless pressure, and clinical finishing. The onslaught had a few players contribute, mainly-from A.Kakivelis, K.Kuczmarski, P.Arkalis and N.Kakouras as all four players chipped in with two goals each. Rather than weathering the storm as the game went on, Team Greece’s offense only intensified creating a wider and unreasonable gap for any sort of comeback attempt. The only thing left over for Team Pakistan was to try and get on board at least once. That feat was nearly achieved as the game was winding down to its final minute. Unfortunately for C.Ekonomakis, F.Nasser was there to leave a slight sour taste for the goaltender. Regardless the last minute hic up, Team Greece sent a clear message to the competition that they’ll be a very difficult out for any opponent.

The SalumiVino player of the night goes to Cameron Confuorti of Team Italy. Unfazed, calm and collective, C.Confuorti was exceptional energising his club in front of him by stopping every single shot he faced.
